Nach den massiven Explosionswellen im Libanon hat Israel laut eigenen Angaben hunderte Angriffe auf Waffensysteme der Hisbollah-Miliz im Land verübt. Die seit Donnerstagnachmittag erfolgten Luftangriffe trafen "hunderte von Raketenwerfern", die bereit waren, "sofort für den Beschuss von israelischem Gebiet eingesetzt zu werden", wie es in einer Mitteilung der israelischen Armee hieß. Unterdessen erklärten US-Präsident Joe Biden und Frankreichs Präsident Emmanuel Macron, dass eine diplomatische Lösung des Konflikts weiterhin möglich sei.
