Jahreshöchststand: Mehr als 37.000 Asylanträge im November gestellt
Im November hat die Zahl der gestellten Asylanträge mit 37.140 einen Jahreshöchststand erreicht. AFP-Recherche: Journalisten im Libanon wahrscheinlich von israelischem Panzergeschoss getroffen
Sieben Journalisten, die Mitte Oktober im Südlibanon unter Beschuss gerieten, sind nach einer Recherche der Nachrichtenagentur AFP wahrscheinlich von einem israelischen Panzergeschoss getroffen worden. Für die Untersuchung, die AFP am Donnerstag in Paris veröffentlichte, wurden ein Munitionsfragment, Satellitenbilder, Zeugenaussagen sowie Videos auch von Experten ausgewertet. Demnach wurden die Journalisten von einem 120-Millimeter-Panzergeschoss getroffen, das in der Region allein von der israelischen Armee verwendet wird.
Nach Brand in bayerischer Flüchtlingsunterkunft Tatverdächtiger ermittelt
Zwei Wochen nach einem Feuer in einer noch unbewohnten Flüchtlingsunterkunft im bayerischen Wassertrüdingen hat die Polizei einen dringend Tatverdächtigen festgenommen. Der 33-Jährige aus dem Landkreis Ansbach habe gestanden, den Brand gelegt zu haben, teilte das Polizeipräsidium in Nürnberg am Donnerstag mit. Der Bundesrat hat am Donnerstag mit einer Sondersitzung den Weg für das weitere Verfahren zur Verabschiedung des Nachtragshaushalts für dieses Jahr freigemacht. Zeitplan für Kindergrundsicherung wird geprüft - Stufenweise Einführung denkbar
Bundesfamilienministerin Lisa Paus (Grüne) überprüft ihren Zeitplan für den Start der Kindergrundsicherung. Das entsprechende Gesetz solle zwar "zum 1. Kanzler Scholz nimmt an G7-Gipfel mit Selenskyj teil
Die Staats- und Regierungschefs der G7-Staaten kommen am Mittwochnachmittag zu virtuellen Gipfelberatungen mit dem ukrainischen Präsidenten Wolodymyr Selenskyj zusammen.
