Ein 29-jähriger Anhänger der Dschihadistenmiliz Islamischer Staat (IS) ist am Mittwoch vom Kammergericht in Berlin zu einer Haftstrafe von drei Jahren verurteilt worden. Wie das Gericht mitteilte, wurde der syrische Staatsangehörige wegen Mitgliedschaft in einer terroristischen Vereinigung im Ausland schuldig gesprochen. Er soll sich dem IS im Jahr 2014 in Syrien angeschlossen haben.

Die US-Justiz hat mehrere Anführer der islamistischen Palästinenserorganisation Hamas wegen "Terrorismus" und weiterer Vorwürfe angeklagt. Wie aus am Dienstag (Ortszeit) nach monatelanger Geheimhaltung freigegebenen Dokumenten hervorgeht, erhob das US-Justizministerium Anfang Februar Anklage gegen sechs Hamas-Anführer wegen des Überfalls der islamistischen Palästinensergruppe auf Israel am 7. Oktober. Darunter ist Hamas-Chef Jahja Sinwar und dessen inzwischen getöteter Vorgänger Ismail Hanija.
